As a Security Professional - Logistics Site Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Upper Marlboro, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more .

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, interacting with staff and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out security-related screening procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and protocols.
  • Provide customer service to individuals entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location, addressing questions and assisting as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or security-related issues according to site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as required to address security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Maryland Security Professional Guard Card preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
