We are looking for our next Senior Data Scientist to bring their experience and help us keep pushing forward as leaders of the next retail disruption!

About Team: 
Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. From groceries and entertainment to sporting goods and crafts, Walmart U.S. offers an extensive selection that our customers value, whether they shop online at Walmart.com , through one of our mobile apps, or in-store. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.
We are dedicated to creating the best-in-class suite of data products at the Personalization Team at Walmart. The Personalization team powers numerous end-to-end personalized recommendations by utilizing the state-of-the-art industrial tech.

What you'll do...

• Lead development and integration of data science driven product capabilities.
• Oversee team's projects and provide technical support to unblock team and ensure on-time delivery.
• Promote adhering to MLOps and software best practices including data and code quality testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and drive innovation.
• Evaluate business cases, translate product requirements into strategies, and help in prioritization and planning.

What you'll bring:

• Master's or Ph.D degree in data science, Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of practical data science experience .
• Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistics .
• Industry experience in ecommerce and digital customer behavior applications
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python and PySpark
• Exceptional business acumen and problem-solving skills , a demonstrated ability to prototype and implement complex AI solutions . Outstanding communication, leadership, and written skills.
• Generative AI experience is a big plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
