We are on the lookout for a Senior Electrical Engineer with a wealth of experience in space systems, covering all facets of spacecraft requirements, design, and testing, to join Umbra's Mission Solutions business unit. To ensure greater transparency, we provide base salary ranges for all roles, regardless of location. Our standard pay ranges are based on the role's function and level, benchmarked against similar growth-stage companies. Compensation may vary based on geographical location, as certain regions may have different cost-of-living factors. The final offer will also be influenced by the candidate's skills, responsibilities, and relevant experience. **Compensation Range** The Compensation Range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related. + 7+ years of experience in spacecraft engineering, including communication, signal processing, power, RF, and/or control systems. + Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic and spectrum analyzers, thermal chambers, and current probes. + Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment. + Willingness and ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. **Desired Qualifications** + Familiarity with communication protocols such as SPI, RS-422 and RS-485. + Knowledge of DCDC switcher design and implementation. + Excellent communications skills, ability and desire to work collaboratively in a team environment, and willingness to guide more junior engineers as needed. + Active TS/SCI security clearance, read-in within the past two years.
